Harp concert at Polly's Chapel

Nestled in the romantic Texas Hill Country and surrounded by acres of pristine wilderness that includes hundreds of grand oak trees and hill country cedar stands the humble and beloved structure known as Polly’s Chapel. Jose Policarpio ”Polly” Rodriguez, who was one of the first settlers of San Antonio and Bandera, was the builder of the chapel. Polly Texas Pioneer Association completed the restoration of this Texas historical landmark in 2015 and it continues to be used by the community for weddings, reunions and other events.

On June 27, 2016 at 7 o’clock in the evening, the board members of Polly Texas Pioneer Association are pleased to present an evening of original acoustic music in the historic Polly’s Chapel. Initiated by an invitation to perform with the American Harp Society in Atlanta, Georgia, the three-week American Echoes Tour promoting their new album comes direct from France. Megan Metheney (harp and vocals) and Rebekah West (percussion and vocals) present Les Audides, their recently released album.  A dynamic Americana duo, Megan Metheney and Rebekah West deliver a creative set of original music from their current residencies in Southern France. Strengthened by West’s rhythmical prowess and Metheney’s world-class harpistry, the women showcase their craft with simple vocals, stellar harmonic interplay and a magnetic onstage chemistry.
