Jose Policarpio "Polly" Rodriguez (1829-1914)

Our namesake, Jose Policarpio “Polly” Rodriguez was quite well known in the San Antonio and Bandera area in the mid 1800s. A true Tejano pioneer because he served for many years as scout and guide to numerous U.S. generals helping develop the roads and towns that would help cultivate travel and commerce in early Texas. He also served his community as a Texas Ranger, Justice of the Peace and became a successful rancher. Click here to learn more about Polly Rodriguez and his contributions to the development of Texas.

Please come and join us in our new efforts to conserve our Texas landmarks and legacy. This new website features information on the exciting programs we have begun, such as restoration, landscaping, history, membership and a capital campaign. Also, on our website you will find information on the rental uses available for a variety of occasions.
