Hill Country Heritage Celebration

Although 2018 was a challenging year with replacing the pump and addressing electrical issues at the Chapel, and other complications, we’re back up and running thanks to your generous support. Some of the good news is that we received a generous donation of new mahogany pews for the chapel, and we are almost finished with the new cemetery plans and improvements. Thanks to all that donated, volunteered, and supported us in so many ways!

This year, the board of Polly Texas Pioneer Association is promoting Hill Country Heritage and Legacy along with our plans for the chapel and schoolhouse. This year’s annual celebration and fundraiser will focus on the history of Bandera and Polly, Texas. As such, on May 4, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm, we will be featuring a Texas Hill County Exhibit, Tejano reenactors and a major artifact collection on Polly, Texas. Come and join our tour of “Polly’s Fort”, “Polly’s School House” and “Polly’s Chapel”.

Also, enjoy a noon time country lunch and frontier auction featuring original and reproductions of Texas ranger records, school records, maps, and many more collectible items. Art, jewelry and other items will also be available.

Once again, we ask for your support and participation that will all go to benefit the chapel, school and cemetery. We are all very proud of the contributions we make to preserve and conserve the history of this hill country community for us today and for future generations.
